Craig Helmkamp is a retired Peace Officer for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Bureau of Investigation with 32 ½ years of experience. He co-founded, organized and setup the first Computer Forensic Laboratory for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. During which time, He participated in the forensic examination and file recovery of in excess of 600 computers and over 1000 diskettes and CD’s. Since 1992, He wrote and maintained data keeping programs for the Bureau of Investigation which are still in use. For the last five years Helmkamp has been recovering data from computers and assisting Court Reported with file disasters.
